James Harness Racing

  Stable History

Since 2001, Jeff and Sandy James have been racing a small stable of harness racehorses.  Our horses have raced in Indiana, Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Illinois, New Jersey, and Ontario.  We have won races at Hoosier Park, Indiana Downs, Pompano Park, Northfield Park, Raceway Park, Bluegrass Downs, Thunder Ridge, Maywood Park, Freehold Raceway, Windsor Raceway, Western Fair Raceway, Flamboro Downs, Grand River Raceway, and Georgian Downs.

Over the years, we have had horses trained by Ricky Macomber, Jr., Dick Macomber, Charlie Stewart, Jamie Rucker, Tom T. Tetrick, Brian Hauck, William Leon, Steve Philbin, and Tim McKinnon.

We have won races with the following drivers--Ricky Macomber, Jr., Tim Tetrick, Jody Jamieson, Peter Wrenn, Paul Mackenzie, Herve Filion, Mark O'Mara, Sam Widger, Jason Dillander, Daryl Bier, Tom T. Tetrick, Mike Peterson, Neil Coleman, Donnie Rankin, Jr., Mike Langdon, Jason Gale, Gene Piroski, Andrea Leon, Trevor Henry, Dan Johnson, Jason Brewer, Rick Farrington, and maybe some others that escape my ever fading memory at the moment.

We have had some ups and downs over the years, but overall it has been a good experience.  We have met some great people too.  Some will likely be lifelong friends.
